Kaynaandata ("Kaynan", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (Kaynan) and related web services.

            Key Summary: Kaynan is a USSD bundle management service for Somalia. We do not sell your personal data. We collect minimal information required to facilitate carrier bundle recharges and display your balance and usage statistics.
        

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information when you use Kaynan:

Account Information: Your name, primary phone number (e.g. Telesom), and secondary phone number (e.g. Somtel) provided during registration or OTP verification.
Device Identification: Device hardware ID used to link authorized app sessions securely.
Data Usage Statistics: With your explicit consent ("Usage Access" permission), Kaynan reads device-level cellular data metrics to render your monthly usage meter in the dashboard.
Transaction Logs: History of bundle purchase attempts, carrier selections, and status notifications.

2. App Permissions & How They Are Used

Kaynan requests specific Android permissions solely to perform core functionality:

CALL_PHONE: Used to execute carrier direct USSD activation strings (e.g., *220# or *100#) directly upon user bundle selection.
READ_SMS: Used to detect SMS confirmation receipts from mobile operators (Telesom, Somtel, Soltelco) to update your transaction log.
PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS / Usage Access: Used exclusively on-device to calculate and present mobile data consumption graphs.

3. How We Use Your Information

To process and route USSD data bundle requests across mobile networks in Somalia.
To display real-time usage meters, exchange rates, and active plans.
To notify you of low resource thresholds and carrier promotions.
To enforce app security and prevent unauthorized multi-device access.

4. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. You have the full right to delete your account and all associated data at any time:

In-App Deletion: Go to Profile Screen › Account Settings › Delete Account & Data.
Web Deletion: You can submit a deletion request directly at our web portal: https://kaynaandata.com/public/delete-account.

Upon deletion, all your profile records, transaction logs, and device tokens are permanently purged from our servers within 24 hours.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard encryption (TLS/HTTPS) to secure all communication between the Kaynan app and our backend API. Access to administrative systems is restricted to authorized personnel.
